ROLI - Halloween Piano Horror Stories
Ask almost anyone whether they had piano lessons as a child, and you'll get one of two answers: they wish they'd stuck at it, or they have a story. Usually both.
The Piano Horror Stories series was built on that insight. Piano lessons are a near-universal childhood experience, and for many people - teachers included - a genuinely traumatic one. A terrifying teacher. A dog eating the sheet music. A recital that went catastrophically wrong. The kind of stories that, decades later, are still told at dinner tables.
For Halloween, we collected those stories - real ones, from real people - and animated them in the style they deserved: illustrated, exaggerated, and gleefully horrifying. Miss Walsh and the Creepy Cottage. The Protesting Pupil. The Eye-Popping Pekinese Pooch.
For a brand trying to reimagine how people learn piano, there's something disarming about acknowledging that the old way could be genuinely terrifying.
