Twitter - Let’s Go Twitter Product Education
Getting people to sign up for Twitter was never the hardest part. The challenge was getting them to stay. New users would arrive with strong preconceptions - that Twitter was confusing, combative, or simply not for them - and many would leave before they'd found a reason to come back. Day 7 retention mattered.
The "Let's Go" series, featuring comic Romesh Ranganathan, was designed specifically for onboarding, short product education films that took those perceptions head on. Rather than explaining features, they showed what it felt like to discover the platform for the first time: the energy of live conversation, the breadth of Explore, the moment you realise this place has something for you.
The films were part of a wider initiative to reimagine Twitter's onboarding experience and improve early retention, ensuring that the millions of people signing up each quarter didn't just create an account, but found a reason to open it again tomorrow.
